Charity Chop

Tonight 7:30pm (post session)

Inspired by Andy, championed by Mariano and suffered by Dave, we'll be going through a charity chop this evening where Mr Diaz and your trainer will be getting the buzz cut (if the price is right) to raise funds for Gastro-intestinal Cancer Research via the "Nina's Quest for a Cure" charity, run by our very own Dan Felice.

The charity has just over $700 to go to reach it's $25k goal to fund stomach and oesophagus cancer clinical trials, which will hopefully one day lead to a cure. Please use the link below to donate what you can so we can smash this goal. If every member donated $10, this goal would be met in full.

If you've already donated, 'like' their Facebook page to spread the word.

16 Week Half Marathon Training Plan

Congratulations to all our runners in the mid-year SMH Half Marathon. They all came within minutes of each other and are still basking in their glory.

There are currently 17 weeks remaining until the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival in September, with Bridge Run, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. Everyone at F4A is capable of running a half marathon with the correct training. Our 16 week training plan will be released next week for the committed. If you have always wanted to run one of these distances, delay no longer, commit now, with the following easy steps.

1. CLICK here to register. Ensure you enter under team name 'FIT4Action'.

2. VISIT our event Facebook page, click 'going' and get involved in the conversation.

3. TELL people! You are much more likely to commit and complete if you have a public goal.

4. TRAIN. The event doesn't start in 16 weeks, it starts now! Don't delay. Fail to plan and you're planning to fail.

5 ASK. If you have any doubts, questions or fears... ask your trainer.

Bask in glory, not regret.

Members Pack

White Band - all members

Grey Band - 25 sessions

Orange Band - 100 sessions

Black Band - 200 sessions

What have you earned?

We have the most fantastic, enthusiastic and adventurous members, which in turn attracts more great members. Which is why we want to recognise this with the new members pack. Starting next week, you'll be issued with your Kit Bag, Drinks Bottle, Key Ring (with 'name' for those who were a member in April) and Achievement Bands.

Many thanks to all our members for keeping each other motivated and in tip top fitness.

This Saturday

Whilst the team are at the Kathmandu event, the regular 7:30am session is being run by Lauren, so wear your game face as she puts you through your paces for the weekend. Then why not come down to RNP and watch the event?

Fitness Assessment

A week on Saturday (7:30am) we have our next Fitness Assessment to see if we've maintained our superb levels of fitness, pushed to a new level or need a little more work. This is a benchmark for you to know where you are up to in your fitness.

Rest of the World

Following a very similar format to the extremely popular AM v PM session, this barrage of challenges will pit the wits of Aussie born members against those born on other shores. Advanced notice of attendance (and team) will help.

Tough Bloke Challenge

This is NOT just for blokes, this is for everyone who wants to use their fitness for something fun. This is our regular mid-year adventure race. Challenge yourself to conquer cascades of mud, bales of hay, climbing nets, flying foxes and concrete tubes.

Now is the time to commit by booking here. Choose any wave you can and we'll move you to the 11am slot. For a video of last years event, click here.

Winter Week

June 9th to June 14th

Yes, you've tired your trainer out and he's taking a short break, but that doesn't mean that you have to.

Starting on the public holiday of Monday the 14th of June we have a consolidated schedule for 1 week only.  Lauren, Alison and Ben will be taking the reins to provide you with a solid week of training and a refreshing change by taking you out of your comfort zone and pushing you in new and challenging ways.

There are still 4 unique sessions in the week, but if you do feel you are unable to hit your regular amount, do your best to put in the extra session in either the week before or the week after.

More details, nearer the time.
